Associates Consulting Limited - Our client is a fast-growing indigenous upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production, and power.

They are currently expanding on some critical projects around the country, and are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE / Permit Supervisor (Pipeline Project)

Locations: Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Construction Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning safe working practices and making necessary changes.
  • Releasing and maintaining Work Permit for each activity at the pipeline construction site.
  • Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
  • Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely.
  • Writing internal health and safety policies/strategies.
  • Drawing-up safe operational procedures.
  • Making regular site inspections.
  • Compiling statistics.
  • Making recommendations following accidents/incidents.
  • Keeping up to date with developments within the profession.
  • Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers.
  • Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health.
  • Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters.
  • Undertaking risk assessments.
  • Identifying potential hazards.
  • Determining ways of reducing risks.
  • Liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Organising/attending health and safety meetings.
  • Safely handling hazardous substances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Health and Safety in pipeline construction projects.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
