Profile Summary

The Head, Supply Chain leads end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and vendor management to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and supply continuity.
The role aligns supply chain strategies with the company’s business objectives and operational realities, while driving continuous improvement and digitization across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's supply chain strategy aligned with business goals
  • Oversee procurement planning, sourcing, and contract negotiation with vendors
  • Implement supply chain risk mitigation and business continuity plans
  • Drive digital transformation and supply chain process automation
  • Collaborate with departments to forecast demand and align supply priorities
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards for performance monitoring and decision support
  • Lead logistics operations ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
  • Manage inventory control, stock levels, and warehouse operations
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in importation, exportation, and local sourcing
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage strategic vendor relationships

Key Requirements

Educational:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS, PMP) preferred
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business is an advantage

Functional Critical / Must Have:

  • 10+ years in supply chain or procurement leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience in global sourcing, logistics, and inventory planning
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian and international procurement regulations

Desirable:

  • Experience managing maritime or offshore logistics
  • Exposure to digital supply chain tools and automation platforms
