The Opportunity
The Head, Content Management will lead the continuous development and optimization of the Foundation’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, with a focus on SharePoint Modern. The role involves translating business needs into efficient digital environments, leading ECM governance, and driving user adoption through training and stakeholder collaboration.
Ways You Can Contribute
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership in the administration and optimization of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Lead change management and training to encourage ECM adoption across the Foundation.
- Translate business needs into information architecture requirements and approve related design decisions.
- Guide ECM improvements using user feedback and analytics.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality delivery of ECM services.
- Oversee the Records Management Program using Microsoft Purview.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and user-friendly ECM solutions.
- Develop and enforce taxonomy, metadata standards, and search optimization practices.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain governance and compliance.
- Oversee content migration and modernization efforts.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree in Knowledge Management, Information/Library Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise content management, with strong hands-on experience in SharePoint administration (including SharePoint Online/Modern).
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Information Architecture, or Project Management are a plus.
- Strategic and adaptable, with a strong commitment to equity, service, and the Foundation’s mission.
- Proven experience designing and optimizing SharePoint site structures, permission models, metadata strategies, and modern pages.
- Advanced knowledge of taxonomy, term store management, and enterprise search tools in Microsoft 365.
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and change management practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage across cultures.
- High integrity, cultural sensitivity, and alignment with the Foundation’s values.
- Experience leading cross-functional and remote teams.
