Tips to Successfully Land This Role

Start by making your CV speak the language of accounting and financial control. If you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, or manufacturing, emphasize your experience in preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Mention specific tools or accounting software you’ve used, like QuickBooks, Sage, or Excel, to show you can hit the ground running.

Show your ability to protect the company’s bottom line. If you’ve ever implemented cost-saving measures, detected discrepancies, or improved financial reporting accuracy, list those achievements with clear results. Employers want to see evidence that you can spot and plug revenue leakages.

Highlight your risk management skills. This means showing that you don’t just record numbers but also analyze them to prevent fraud, avoid penalties, and ensure every financial move is in line with regulations. Any experience with internal audits or compliance checks is a plus — don’t leave it out.

Finally, tailor your application so it feels like it was written for Butterburst Global Foods specifically. Use keywords from the job description, and in your cover email, show that you understand the nature of their business, a blend of bakery, grocery, and retail operations. That will make you stand out as someone ready to step in and add value from day one
