Job Title: Lead - Investment Advisor, Joint Ventures Asset B1 Subsurface Ops

Objectives
- Provision of end-to-end visibility of asset-based activities and investment profitability
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure collaboration between geoscientists, petroleum engineers and other relevant officers to interpret well-logging results and predict oil production potential
- Oversee the compilation of detailed development plans of reservoir performance using mathematical models
- Evaluate and recommend flow rate enhancement such as hydraulic fracturing and acid treatment
- Ensure the use of appropriate well and reservoir remote sensing technology and surveillance data to manage the value of the reservoir and decide on appropriate engineering interventions
- Review and participate in all field development programs, production and reservoir management strategies
- Monitor and participate in feasibility and reservoir engineering studies, project implementation and controls of all production and drilling activities
- Initiate, review and participate in special projects development, e.g. gas, NGLs and condensate field developments
- Provide framework to control operators through participation in sub-committee meetings, technical committee meetings and operating committee meetings
- Undertake programmed mandatory field operations control visits to enhance surveillance of operations and other contractual activities
- Review technical performance of Operators and undertake technical and financial audit of operations, as need arises
- Review, monitor and maintain detailed cost data on all major drilling, production and reservoir engineering contracts with operating companies
- Support tendering activities for the provision of related services and ensure the development of appropriate technical evaluation criteria for tenders related to petroleum engineering
- Provide timely and regular reports on the activities of the Unit to the Asset Manager
- Ensure the capacity development of direct reports, through coaching and other learning methods, and provide regular, formal and informal feedback on identified gaps of direct reports’ performance and recommend appropriate solutions
- Any other related work as may be assigned by the Asset Manager
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- Professional qualification, certification and membership of at least one relevant professional body, e.g. NAPE, SPE, COREN, NSE, etc.
Experience:
- Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience
- Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
