We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Occupational Health Officer

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Occupational Health Officer will be responsible for implementing health and safety programs, conducting health assessments, and providing medical advice to promote a healthy and safe working environment.
  • This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a passion for occupational health.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments and provide medical advice to employees.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide first aid and emergency medical care when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement workplace health policies.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections.
  • Promote health and wellness initiatives within the organization.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in occupational health and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Anatomy or Physiology (or a related field).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Occupational Health or any healthcare-related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (not mandatory).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
